A specter is haunting Russia – the specter of colored revolutions. The recent developments in Armenia will only add to Moscow’s aversion to popular uprisings on its borders. On Monday June 22, a number of protests erupted in the capital of Yerevan and in several smaller Armenian cities. Thousands of Armenians took to the streets in order to protest the proposed hike in the cost of electricity of around 20% starting August 1.
