In an in-depth interview with Marianne (in French), Alice Ekman noted that China’s position has become much clearer since the start of the war in Ukraine. “Previously, its geopolitical positions were difficult to identify; it maintained a kind of strategic ambiguity. Today, this is no longer the case. China is siding with Putin’s Russia and with the Iran of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.”
