No diplomatic efforts and attempts to “pacify” the Russian aggressors are without the slightest historical and logical rational grounds. Nor should we expect that the change in the first person, or even the ruling group in Russia will lead to a decline in tensions in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.
