Ukrainian-born Maksim Fomin, better known by his pseudonym Vladlen Tatarskii, was a Russian military blogger of partial Tatar descent. On April 2nd, 2023, Fomin was assassinated in a bomb attack in St. Petersburg, Russia. From 2014 until his recent death, Fomin authored popular military blogs that advocated pro-separatist views related to the Ukraine crisis.
