Recent strikes led by special ops teams deemed a success.The renewal of night time counter-terrorism raids by Afghan special forces in the southern province of Helmand have been cautiously welcomed by local officials and activists.
The tactic of entering villages at night had proved hugely controversial in the past due to high rates of civilian casualties and what was viewed as an unacceptable violation of privacy.
