In first visit to region, Special Representative reaffirms commitment of German OSCE Chairmanship to the Transdniestrian settlement process

CHISINAU, 17 February 2016 – The Special Representative of the German OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the Transdniestrian Settlement Process, Cord Meier-Klodt, today concluded his first visit to the region in his new capacity, which included meetings with the political leadership in Chisinau and Tiraspol.
Ambassador Meier-Klodt took up his position as Special Representative in January 2016 and will hold it throughout the German Chairmanship of the OSCE. This visit forms part of a series of meetings with 5+2 partners in their respective capitals where prospects on how to move the Transdniestrian settlement process forward in 2016 were discussed.
