OSCE Chief Monitor in Ukraine calls upon all sides to exercise maximum restraint in eastern Ukraine

KYIV, 13 January 2015 – The Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, Ambassador Ertugrul Apakan, today called upon all sides to exercise maximum restraint in eastern Ukraine. Over the past 24 hours the situation has significantly deteriorated, especially near the Donetsk airport; more civilian casualties have been reported elsewhere. Apakan further called for a full and immediate ceasefire and de-escalation.
