That is the conclusion of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission experts working in Ukraine, reads the SMM report regarding the shelling incident in Donetsk.
“The SMM also determined that the weapon(s) used was most likely either a mortar or an artillery piece,” reads the statement.
The experts determined that the attack had been launched from a north-western direction.
The OSCE SMM also notes that as a result of shelling, eight people died and 13 were wounded. All the wounded, the report said, had suffered serious injuries requiring surgery and were delivered to the hospital.
