According to prior Ukrainian-American consultations, the U.S. can provide countermeasures for armoured fighting vehicles, hostile fire detection systems, and communications to Ukraine. This was stated by Co-director of Foreign Relations and International Security Programmes of the Razumkov Centre Oleksiy Melnyk, informs the website Deutsche Welle.
“This aid will help Ukraine reduce the effectiveness of offensive weapons of the enemy, and reduce casualties among Ukrainian troops. Thus, although this is a lethal weapon, it is exclusively defensive,” noted the expert.
