In Ukraine, the prices of alcohol and tobacco have increased rapidly as well as the flat tax and public utilities rates. The national currency – hryvnia – has dropped by 40% since the beginning of the year. Gas, electricity, and motor fuel are getting more expensive. However, Ukrainians are more concerned about rapid cessation of hostilities in Donbas. According to experts, people realise that current inflation has become the price to pay for the long delay in reforms of the previous government, informs the Russian service Deutsche Welle.
