EU–NATO Cybersecurity and Defense Cooperation: From Common Threats to Common Solutions

The EU and NATO are targeted by the very same vectors, notably by cybercrime syndicates, politically motivated non-state actors, and sophisticated state actors. These hostile cyber activities undermine all levels of society in EU and NATO countries, threatening civil, political, economic, and military security. Even though cyber-attacks are a very real threat, much of these activities go undetected, unacknowledged, or inadequately addressed by decision-makers.
