The global economy is on the upswing. Economic growth in the euro area and the US will continue at a moderate pace and China’s growth will slow down in a controlled manner. The main risks are associated with the political decisions of the United States and the euro area.
Finland’s GDP will grow by 1.7 per cent in 2017. In the years 2018-2019 growth will range between 1.5-1.6 per cent.
We have assumed that the negotiated wage settlements for the years 2018 and 2019 will be moderate and foster the improvement of competitiveness.
